Black tank an option?

Yes I thought it was an option too on the Flair.

I am sure Michael is right as it’s not standard so must be optional.

Having had to deal with my bosses Merican RV black tank, I think I'd rather stick to the cassette.

Easier to empty cassette.
Black tank will need specific emptying places.

I only have the 2017 price list but they showed 2 black tank options, E898 for 130 litre or E1253 for 160 litre.

As to the tank management we had the 160 litre tank in our Flair that would easily last 10 days and we do not use site facilities. The dumping procedure for a Yankee is indeed more conspicuous as they have 4 inch pipes and very often a non macerating toilet but my Flair had 38mm pipes and a macerating toilet and just dumping where you dump grey is easy with a 10 day margin to work with, or even easier on full service pitches. My Morelo has a 250 litre black tank with a cross over pump from the grey to the black if you need the spare capacity. I will not get into the debate again about where you can dump it in European sewerage systems amply covered in the past.

Ah, found it... 160 l fixed toilet tank (only available for models 920 LE, LF, LS) including ceramic toilet bowl
"Black tank with cross over pump", that's the system we want to go for. we are going full time so don't want the hassle, albeit a small one, of emptying the cassette every couple of days.

Thanks for the help guys. (y)

I carry a tote tank, so in the event I can't dump even with my macerator and 50' of hose I can fill that and take it to the dump instead, in 14 years of owning the Winnie I have used it once.
I am not so sure about using a cross over pump through as its the grey water which flushes my 3" pipe out after dumping the black.

Not on the Brave my outlet is possibly 2 feet or more of the ground inside the locker, its a heated double floor so the tank is above the frame rails.
This is when we lived for a year on a site with mains drainage.

My friend has a little plastic pot he runs out to change every morning, Jeffs poo run

Rain or shine, boiling or freezing Jeff runs across the campsite with his little pot of poo

Every few days, about 10 - 12 i drive over a manhole or a dump point, pull a lever and all the poo disappears, then i pull another lever and all the grey water flushes everything and then I'm done

A few seconds at most

And, if I need to, i also have a little plastic pot and can empty my black tank via another valve so the best of both worlds

Yes Olley, nice set up. I was actually meaning with the tote though
?

I think your probably right, I believe from memory it holds 15-20 gallons so over 75lbs, can't be sure as it must be ten years since I used it. It's sitting in my roof box with a similar sized drinking water tote, now that has never been used. :roflmto:
