"Ken", our new to us Rimor, was looked over by our local bike racing/campervan owning auto engineer yesterday and the verdict was we need a new power steering pump, so he's off to the garage on Monday. It's just as well he was booked in because on our way round the mate in Glasgow today (middle lane) the engine cut out completely giving MrMac a bit of a start. Thankfully, although it was busy it wasn't rush hour so we managed to keep the momentum up until we got safely to the hard shoulder and a few minutes later the vehicle started up again. We made it home without further incident but the diagnosis is the cam shaft sensor - so that'll be a new one of those too!
