Is bilboa easier port than santander for ferry back to uk did santander to plymouth last year didn't find plymouth easy ,have heard Portsmouth is easier .

Portsmouth is easier, because as you leave the port, you are straight onto the motorway.
Leaving the port at Plymouth you have to negotiate the city to get to the A38.

We found Portsmouth very easy - you can overnight for free at Port Solent if you don't want to drive straight back. Theres several places to eat there & shops.

As others have said , it rather depends where you’re going as Plymouth and Portsmouth are the same for us. Portsmouth is very easy.

Bilbao is just as easy as Santander. I’d go for the best value crossing.

Yes it is. But so is Santander to Portsmouth. The shortest crossing is Santander to Plymouth 21 hours. Although the Pont Aven stops I believe in November until March so no crossing to Plymouth during these times.
