I'm looking at voie vertes and greenway paths for traffic free cycling in France, Belgium, Italy, etc. The internet has some information but it is rather disjointed and sometimes difficult to find.
I see there is a guide called Quiet, Easy & Traffic Free Cycle Routes in Southern France (and there is one for Northern France as well). The author is Alan Russell. Does anyone have one of these and could tell me what they are like? Or do you have any other suggestions?

I bought this a few months ago. Not used yet but look ok and plan to use them September/October when we go to France. I have used the Ciserone guides for cycling the Loire, Canal de Midi and the Rhone and found those useful for basing a bit of a tour around.

Somewhere, I have one called, something like, cycling the 'Back road of France' later I'll try and find it and give details.

We use Mapy.cz a free gps program, if you zoom in it shows bike routes in all countries.

Download the APP, Wikiloc its user friendly on most platforms......you can then choose a route that suits your needs, download onto your phone and follow turn by turn.....we use it whenever we are in areas new to us.....its fun in itself.....mount phone on handlebars and off you gooooooooooooooo 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲
