Friday seen the new owners collecting our van so we're now vanless, hopefully not for to long. We don't have one particular make or model in mind but we're certain we want to keep the same layout with single beds, would also like winterised van with double floor but not going to pay thousands extra to get it.

A few we have seen and quite fancy are Euramobil, Dethleffs, Knaus and a Carthago so please feel free to give your personal experience of these makes.

Are you going bigger? I wonder if the trend towards pvc's is reversing

We are without going to big, our previous van was 7.4m and this will probably be max we will go to.

Loved our PVC and probably one of the best built vans we've owned, we bought it for a reason and thought long and hard about changing.

We have got a Knaus sun TI which has the double floor, really makes a difference when its cold as you don't get the draughts through the vents in the floor. It is 7.5m long with twin single beds, it is the best van we have had and we are very happy with it.

Thats good to hear thank you.

We have just swapped our PVC for the Knaus Sun Ti 650 (just under 7m) with french bed and absolutely love it! As missmollie said - double floor, Alde heating, Oyster Sat system, great bathroom, good kitchen area and a practical garage. :xThumb:

Frankia ?
If it was in my price range and correct layout yes, also depending on age as we attend to keep our next van for 10-15 years so not wanting to start off with a 10 year old one

IMHO There seems a big difference in build quality between the Eura mobile pre 2008 and the modern ones. Likewise we have got friends with the different levels of Carthago and the features and quality varies quite a lot between the lower and upper ranges. And I do believe the current vogue towards making everything lighter has sacrificed quality.

We are building up to a change but probably not going any newer and could easily go older because we only actually want a bit more room and would prefer the robustness of a truck chassis this time and I'm not convinced about Euro 6 engines longevity. This would be different if we had to go into cities but we don't.

The risk is that you can be buying someone elses problems but the upside is that you get a lot more for your money.
