I’ve researched as best as possible, and as soon as vanbitz can fit me in I’m after a strikeback alarm,
. I’d rayther prevent my van being taken than recover it after its gone. I’m then planning to install one of these as a backup just in case.

Everyone's idea of "best" is different!
If you need one, get one that meets that need.
If you stated the need, we may be able to be more helpful.
If it's for insurance, get a list from the underwriter and look at prices. Best, in that case, may be cheapest and should be comparatively easy to determine...

Why not get VanBitz to fit a Metatrac system at the same time as the alarm.
I'd also get them to fit an immobiliser.

If you have Solar, I'd also get a battery master fitted at the same time, it means your batteries will never go flat running all this security kit.

AT50 is similar to Metatrak system. 5 ye battery life and geofencing and theft mode, Battery master is a must.

I have 3 different tracker/systems on 3 different cars. Non is ideal. You don't need to go for one that you pay a million subscription for every year, this day and age there are plenty subscription free.
Having said that i have a system on the Jag that i paid £400 one off for lifetime subscription for. It has proven very very useful. Been called several times when the car has been move without key. One time i just pushed the car in the garage about a foot, before i closed the door the phone rang to tell be the car has been moved.

Make sure its insurance approved whichever one you go for.

But are they insurance approved? I was told that only the subscription ones are approved. I ended up with one fitted by the dealer which works with Vodafone Automotive monitoring. I quite like their system, partly because I can remotely monitor the engine battery condition whilst it is locked down in storage.

Different insurers have different ideas about what is acceptable or not.
The cheapest solution is probably to find one that does not insist on a tracker.

May have to purchase a tracker device for our proposed new PVC. Which do you use?

Colyboy
As others have said if you need one for insurance have one from those list. You may also want to see what your local farmer uses (and they do) and what other commercial organisations use.

Vodaphone is one

Tracker by Tracker is another

there are other offerings but the commercial guys have a 24/7 monitoring centre.

Every piece of security you can put on your MoHo do it OBD lock, stop lock Clutch claw Vanbitz alarm Tracker etc etc

if they want your van they will get it just make it as difficult as possible.
