There are lots of these on Amazon. Hard to know those that are made to last and those that will fall apart within weeks. Any experiences?

This is a link to a random one to give the idea.

We have one made by Brunner, light weight metal dents all the way up it where we have tightened the screws 😁. About 5 years old still going strong, bag has some rips.

Just looked at nearly 50 pounds😯, personally I would buy a cheap one.

We’ve got one which we’ve had at least 8 years - structure of it is fine still but the nylon bushes protecting the line where it comes into contact with the exposed edges of the arms are breaking down, so we’ll probably replace it soonish.

Would it be too cynical to suggest that they probably all come out of the same factory in China, and there’s probably little to choose between them in terms of quality?
Of course, you might want a 4 arm version rather than 3, for extra capacity, and I see you can now get one with 4 legs. (Think that’s the £50 one). It may make it more stable, but it’s also another peg to hammer in (or lose!)

Best Rotary Line for HOME , is the "Hills Hoist" Well worth the extra cost, if you are short of room and need something that folds up out of the way when not in use, then the "Hills Extendable"

Neither are transportable.

Cheers. Should have said, looking for one to go in the Moho.

Think this is ours (in the picture) however it may now only be a tripod base.👎
We preferred the 4 arm \ 4 leg variety as it's more stable in windier conditions.
And, let's be honest, that's what you want for drying the clothes.👍
Obviously, this is all second-hand information as management told me so!:whistle2:

A lot of camping ones have plastic fittings around the central pole to hold the arms with a plastic screw to tighten these in position. These plastic fittings break renderings the line useless. Take care what you buy!

As a bloke, I can't say that I have much need for such contraptions. But I do bring along a clothes line for SWMBO's use.

The Royal one, is like i bought just over 3 years ago, & still going strong. It feels very light weight but it certainly does the job.

Funnily enough ours has plastic fittings and, furiously touching wood, has been OK for the four \ five years we've had it but, being the proper Boy Scout and well prepared, been carrying a jubilee clip that fits around the pole for when it breaks (obviously next time we use it!:crying:)
