Can anyone advise me on quality battery chargers? I find myself with multiple batteries from the Hab battery (Lead acid) car batteries that need charging before going away for 3 months and recharging when I get back to smaller batteries in motorbikes and mowers. Can not find any decent reviews on line.

Ability to restore batteries and possibly charge lithium batteries in the future would also be valued.

If you are charging anything from a motorbike battery to a big leisure battery with a single charger, you could try a CTEK MXS5.0.
It is a high-quality multistage intelligent charger, with a special 'motorbike' mode for small batteries, but is OK for charging big batteries.

The main disadvantage is the 5 amp maximum current, but that just means it might take 24 hours to charge a big battery. The end result is that the battery is just as fully charged, but it obviously takes longer than a 20 amp charger.

I have two. One keeps the car charged on the drive while we are away. The other stays in the MH, and is used for the scooter starter battery, and on at least two occasions for charging the leisure batteries when the main charger failed.

As said by autorouter I swear by Ctek chargers,I have several motorbike
S and they are permanently attached, low electricity usage but bikes are always ready.
Left cars for over a month and start immediately when connected also.

Just read the Ctek site specs and it does seem to be the biz! Top of my list without a doubt. I have been using a Lidl charger with has some smart functions and been OK but have only used on OK batteries. My new car has retched stop/start which I always switch off but believe the batteries are expensive and do not last long unless looked after. The Ctek would pay for its self saving just this battery! (my old x-trail when 12 years before I changed the battery - I must be getting old as I believe every thing lasted longer "in the good old days".....)

but that just means it might take 24 hours to charge a big battery
5A is the maximum and for a period it will charge at or near that value but will then drop. Taking a 100Ah battery as an example for a full charge you need to replace 100Ah plus another 20% so 120Ah. If the charger did output a continuous 5A then in a 24 hour period it would have produced a total of 5 x 24 = 120Ah. And of course no-one would fully discharge their batteries. However given that the charger is designed to be left connected I'd be tempted to connect it to the battery at least a couple of days before you need it or if the battery is left unused connect the charger permanently.

Thanks everyone for the mega quick responses as ever, having read the reviews and your responses/recommendations I will be ordering a CTek MXS 5.............
