We are going to get our Aygo fitted with an A Frame to two behind our motorhome (obviously) and have done loads of research but can't work out the best between Armitage in West Yorkshire, Towtal in Staffordshire and Towmaster 2 in Bristol. All are a bit of a journey for us living in Kent but making sure we get a good one is important to us. Views please. Joanna

Hello Joanna

We have plenty of A-Framers here so I'm sure you'll get some opinions. Meanwhile welcome to the Fun. (y)

Can of worms question really ..We used TAF in Chesterfield. Very Happy.

Others swear by your suggestions and others hate A Frames period.

A bit of a trek for you and not the cheapest……but you’ll struggle to find a better system 👍🏼

My son is very happy with the one he has used twice at Chichester.
If it's near enough for you I'll get their name. I can't recall it at the mo.

P.S. Not sure but I *think* he gets the kit from the U.S.A. so if he doesn't have one in stock for the Aygo it may result in a longish lead time but you can check with them first.

We have a Towtal with RVi Brake unit towing a Kia Rio 3 , the system has worked well over the seven years since installation.

There are those who will only have an electronic braked system. (costly)
We have a simple overrun braked system (TAF) on our Aygo. Seems to work aok for us.

You will no doubt be informed that A Frames are virtually a no-no in Europe.

Welcome to Fun 😊

We can recommend TAF for their product. They rectified the mess that Towtal caused.

As for Towtal, never again! They were our first stop. A faulty installation caused a fire on the car brakes. We were lucky to have not lost the car and Motorhome.

Just had one fitted by these guy`s..... not the cheapest, but in my opinion the best.

Had three or four from them and would not have another make, so simple to fit.. (3-4 mins at most.)..

And no faffing around, just screw in the eye bolts to the front, connect A frame to these and plug in electric`s and break-away cable... (OH.. and hook up to your m-home.)...

And being where you are.... a nice stop off at Jasmin Camping... en-route.... (y)

Welcome to Fun

big 👍 from us for LNB…..we have a Fiat Abarth with an A Frame (towmaster2) fitted by the really friendly guys in Bristol. As you probably know theirs is the electronic braking system and a lighter A Frame, thats why we went with them and have no complaints. They are right on the side of the M5, really easy to find and have a big car park for your van etc. for the record, I have no affiliation with them, just a very happy customer. We are miles from them in Lincolnshire and stopped on our way to Devon a few weeks ago for them to conduct a safety check to ensure all is still good. 👍😎
