Hi all I've decided to leave the darkside of tin tents and get a motorhome , lokking at bessacarr MH particularly the E725s from 2001 to 2010 any pointers.

Apart from the normal checks for damp , if you look at one built between 2005 and 2007 make sure that the floor is ok as some of the Swift built Motorhomes of that period had a problem with damp floors , due to faulty material being used , and although most had their floor replaced ,if needed , under warranty at the time some may have been missed.
On the Fiat side you need to make sure that the cambelt has been replaced or allow for the cost for this to be done ( it needs to be changed every 5 years , even if low miles).

Hi Geoff thought the 2.8 was chain driven, as for damp etc I'm a retired caravan and motorhome engineer

I think you will find that the Fiat 2.8 is cam belt , with the 3.0 being chain driven. (later models).
