Had my motorhome a year soon and only saw the socket below a few weeks ago - it’s underneath the kitchen cupboards between sink and cooker - seems an odd place for a socket in the 1st instance.

I’m not sure what the socket would
have been used for and is it worth changing - but it’s position is odd.

I’ve asked the uk dealer for Berker but no reply what it’s socket type is but no reply.

Any ideas ?

Looks to me like a German 230v socket.
The two silver bits top and bottom are earth contacts and the plug can fit either way up.

Just takes a normal European plug perhaps coffe machine or the like just stick an English three pin adaptor in and use it with your appliances.(y)(y)(y)

My Hymer has a UK 13 amp socket in same position.
In a domestic situation it would be against electrical regs but these don`t apply to caravans and motorhomes.
Still a silly place though

You can buy a Berker UK socket that will fit. You just connect the wires. The spring shutter will fit over it. There's many places to buy it, but here's one. I'm sure someone with better shopping skills will find one for less. If you're doing it yourself make sure the connection screws are tight.

Don't mix it up with the CBE type, that is more commonly found in caravan accessories shops. They look almost the same, but they won't exactly fit the hole, and the screws are in a slightly different place.

We’ve got a socket (UK 3 pin) under the cupboard above sink and we have a 3 way extension lead from socket fixed to side wall.
