Beamish is brilliant. However no overnight parking and the nearest site is bobby Shafto campsite. About 1/2 mile away.. I think there maybe a cs nearby but cant remember. Parking at beamish museum is fine loads of space. Roy

I think this one is OK for overnight parking.

We stayed at the Bobby Shafto site. There is a walk through the woods to Beamish museum which is great. You might want more than one day there.
Lots of parking if you want to take the motorhome to save the walk

On our 2nd MH now a AutoTrail Savannah which we're absolutely delighted with
I met up with a few Funsters last year who were visiting beamish .
They used a pub car park close to the entrance... I can't remember the name...
@irnbru @Puddleduck @IanF can you help..
Andy
It was the "Shepherd and Shepherdness" the arrangement was free as long as we vacated the car park during the day which we did simply by moving into the Beamish car park(less than 1/4 mile away) and had our evening meal in the pub.

On and off for many years.
We stayed in a CL or CS (can't remember which as we are members of both clubs) in Maiden Law. Much cheaper than Bobby Shafto and very friendly owners. It is further out of course.

I love Beamish and there is always something going on there.
