Any suggestions for a beachfront camping spot on Hayling Island? It seems that pubs, restaurants and marinas no longer welcome motorhomes and the carparks have been adopted by the council who fine over nighters £200
any suggestions please for just one night following our visit to Southdowns

Hi to put the info straight the fine is £70 or £35 if paid in 14 days not bad value as they only check once every 10 days at random so if you stay a week you stand 50 50 chance of a free bee or a fine but £35 for 7 nights is good and don’t forget the service facility’s near Johns Cafe
Also 2of the pubs near the beach do pubovers hope this helps fun kit

They tend to check more in summer season but very rarely on bank holidays for some reason🤔🤔as you say cheaper to pay fine than the cost of a site on the island. We only live 10 minutes away so would go over most weeks for a day summer and winter when not away but they obviously hate motorhomes now as it’s £15 as soon as you turn up rather than the hourly charge a while back🤬🤬

Hi I forgot to say I’m disabled and have a disability badge so it’s free all day thanks Havant council
When Mum was alive she loved coming over the beach with us and other family over for a BBQ, handy as she had blue badge😁 has been carnage around Havant especially the roundabout for weeks now😳😳😳

Suggest you stay at Port Solent marina car park in Portsmouth. Free as long as you tell them you are staying for the night, see the notices as to the phone number. Lots of places to eat and walk round the marina and views over the harbour to Portchester Castle.
