hi all.
done loads of DIY on the MH: inverter, 4G antenna on roof, cameras, absorber->compressor fridge, I even changed the vehicle headlights. So confident in general on the DIY front. But not touched gas before.
As a consequence of the absorber->compressor swap, there is an unused gas tail in a good place to use for an external point. coming from the manifold , isolator labelled "fridge" of course. I'm confident I could DIY the mechanicals, and it will require a trivial amount of internal gas pipework to get from the unused tail to where I'd drill and mount for the external , and I'd follow best practices as per the experts in this forum. what are the rules and regs on testing / certification ? can I get a Gas Safe guy who does domestic gas boilers etc to check it (he happens to be a neighbour so could be persuaded to do it as a quick spare time job) or do I need to use an NCC approved mobile tech (I have one that I've used before)? I'm near milton keynes if that makes any difference.

fair enough. I actually just messaged the local NCC guy and he said he's happy if I fit, he does check/test, will just charge me for his time for the check/test, so I'll go with that approach, not worth trying to save any more than that.
