There's a potentially useful weather map on the BBC website.

To be fair, I have continually and indeed tirelessly advised against visiting France.

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so :)
Some like it hot.

(Not me, I hasten to add, this is just silly)

We have a portable aircon running in the living room, and another one running upstairs. It's bearable in the living room, but 38C outside even at 8pm our time, and the heat hits you when you open the door. Still 31C in the bedroom. Hotter tomorrow.

Still love France (y)

Well, I just back from Shell Island and never got out of the van in th cold damp wet fog for two days except to empty the cassette so here was not that nice.

Weather Underground is good as you can add live updates.
Today Trevignon 33°
Warmer than Plymouth (home)

We're in Spain near Salou on the way back, think we'll head up to Millau tomorrow, by the time we get there it will have cooled off a bit. The night temperatures look OK at 18c.
The cab AC has been working great so far, had to quickly put some gas in as we set off ?

PS Only 30 here ?

We fitted a cooling fan which activates automatically when the temperature above the fridge heat exchanger becomes high, it turned on yesterday and the fridge is off, simply the heat of the day ... 39°C today and passing 40°C the weekend. We will be hiding indoors until 1600h then a rapid dash of 100 metres and in the pool. More a rapid wobble than a dash to be honest. Be careful, yesterday we had a strong breeze all day, super dangerous, there will be lots of terribly burnt peeps today.

Please don't rub it in, we have been touring Norway for 3 weeks and it has been colder and wetter than normal even for them! Yes we do know they had a very hot summer last year, that doesn't help either. Fortunately the scenery is spectacular despite the weather.

We're in deepest Burgundy and it's so hot, even the mossies are too knackered to bite with any vigour. Entering our local lake for a cool off is like a luke warm bath. Love the evenings when the wine is chilled. :wine:

Where's Yorick? Hope he's OK. He always posts how much hotter his weather is on weather threads. Maybe he's got heat stroke ?

Drove through the southern France death zone this afternoon, put my hand out of the window while driving to feel the heat, was like a hair dryer blowing on it ?

It’d better be hot at Sutton on Sea next weekend, if not Jim is getting the blame :giggler:

We've had to erect some temporary shade over the olive grove. Far too hot for olives here (y)

That's a weird map as everything is red because the scale only goes up to thirty. It needs recalibrating I think. :)
