Has anybody got a part number or supplier for the Peugeot Boxer (or Elddis Majestic) retaining clips as pictured?

I want a new red and grey version as my battery has been off a few times already for charging while the MH is stationary

I have the same battery positive plate on my Fiat X250.....but don't use the red retainer as it doesn't line up with the holes in the upper battery casing. I can see (from your pic) that the two retainer screws would screw into the top of the battery and make the positive plate more secure. However, mine just relies on the positive post clamp to keep everything in place and has caused no problems, so far !!!

As an aside, suggest you check the efficiency of the positive clamp. When mine was tightened (as far as it would go), I noticed it was still possible to lift it off the positive post without too much difficulty. Corrected by inserting a packing piece from an old tin can. I guess the clamp was suitable for the OEM (original) battery post but not for my subsequent replacement battery.

It's not even listed as a part in the Fiat parts catalogue I'm looking at. It doesn't actually retain anything, simply indicates (as in your photo) that you've overtightened the screws that locate the terminal plate to the battery casing.

The terminal plate is secured to the battery by the terminal clamp. The two screws through the plate into the battery casing utilise the standard battery casing holes intended for a press-fit terminal cover, and simply align the terminal plate correctly in relation to the battery. The red plastic strap indicates that the screws have been overtightened by twisting as in your photo.

If it bothers you, just use a couple of appropriately sized plastic washers under the screws, but they're really only there to hold the terminal plate in the correct position until the positive terminal clamp has been tightened.

If you use a modern smart charger, there should be no need to remove the battery for charging.
