For some reason my Ecotree Lifepo4 is not emitting a Bluetooth signal, downloaded their app on another device and the same, so it's not a device issue. It's also not showing if searching for Bluetooth devices, can anyone advise please.
Heading off on holiday tomorrow, so now in panic mode, because I use this to monitor my SOC.

Our Victron app only picked up battery when plugged into EHU.

Disconnect the battery and reconnect has worked for me twice.

It is charged isn't it ???

It's a common problem for the Bluetooth to fail in batteries.
They are not very reliable for SOC as they don't register current below 1 amp. The only reliable way to monitor SOC is with a Shunt.
Absolutely agree and should have done this and will. However, currently, I'm supposed to be setting off tomorrow afternoon, heading for Eurotunnel, (two months away) and was worried there was something wrong with the battery and using it would damage it, or it would let me down

Forgive my ignorance, by this do I disconnect all positive cables, leave a minute, then reconnect again.
Yes, fully charged
Yes just discon the main pos cable for a few seconds. In theory it has no reason to work but for me it did twice

Nope, didn't work unfortunately, do you know if I can monitor the soc through my Victron Solar app

You can only monitor the voltage which doesn't mean a lot with Lithium however when it goes to Absorption the battery will be almost full charged and once in Float it will be fully charged.

This will give you an idear but only with no load or charge.

Hi Lenny
I've just cancelled our booking with Eurotunnel, to give me a couple of days to sort this. I want to get/fit the BMV 720 kit, you suggested to me in one of my posts a while back. I'll get in touch with offering (i mean Offgrid) in morning, and see what ge delivery timescale would be.
The battery is only a couple of years old (from Ecotree) should I be going back to them with this, could the battery be failing

If you don't need the display or programmable relay the Victron Smart Shunt is over £20 cheaper.

Some batteries only have a 2 year warranty on the Bluetooth but worth seeing if they will replace it.

Hi Lenny
I like to monitor the soc, so i know where i am with available power, but nothing else, I don't understand it all anyway, so a simple display screen instead of Bluetooth, would be ideal for me and it appears the BMV 712 has this, so worth it for me.
Regarding the 2 year Bluetooth warranty, I didn't know that, thankyou, so i won't bother getting in touch with Ecotree, it's only wasting more time and I'm trying to get this sorted ASAP to get the holiday booked again before the prices go up.

It's only some that say that Ecotree may well cover it for the full warranty period, it's worth having for checking cell balance just not much use for SOC.

Ok, thanks, I'll give them a call in morning I've nothing to lose, going to fit a Shunt anyway and if i pay extra for postage, I should get one by Tuesday, from 12voltplanet or offgrid

If getting the shunt remember also to get extra wiring. At present your wires go from neg battery to the negbusbar/charger/solar/whatever. Now it will go battery to shunt - shunt to negbusbar/charger/solar/whatever. Check wires are suitable size and have correct sized crimp rings (some Victron shunts are 10mm, not the more standard motorhome 8mm).

Went Ecotree, their engineer couldn't get a reading either, they swapped my battery for a new one, so that was a result.
