Hi guys I have a new autotrail Delaware 2019 we go to the ski resorts in the winter how wud the batteries be cos they are stored in a locker on the outside?? Your views pls

Batteries are less efficient when cold but I can't really see a problem.
It will still be warmer in a locker than outdoors.

Batteries will probably be the least of your worries what about your water pipes freezing up and the grey waste?

No traps outside just free running into tank so will leave tap open. Fresh water has tank heaters and is well insulated also alde keeps everything ok in double floor in bedroom

Sorry had the impression that Autotrails would not stand up well in cold conditions due to the vehicle only having single skin floor. Hope I am wrong. Good luck

Well now with the new 2019 models you might be wrong

I would expect an external battery locker to be heated on a modern winter useable motorhome. Have you checked that there isn’t a heating outlet in the locker?

Will you be on hookup?

If not how will your tank heaters be powered - if electrical, off grid will kill your batteries.

What wattage are the heaters? If similar to the fridge element (circa 120W?), that’ll take 10A from your batteries. Won’t take long to flatten your batteries.

If the battery compartment is a bit of a worry for you then how about buying a roll of YBS Thermawrap from Screwfix and lining the tray, including the battery mount/seat/walls/door etc.

If the battery loom is not fully sealed then it should allow for a small amount of warmth to penetrate the battery housing.

I'm not saying it'll be a fullproof solution but it will certainly help.
