Renalt burstner
Exp
7 years campers before that
Almost didn't start this morning both leisure and cab batteries down to 12v I suspect the relay is not working
We have a burstner with a reich e box is the relay separate of is it internal to the e box?I'm hoping it's separate and in with the starter battery under my feet.think we may have had this for a while but the solar has masked the problem lack of sun last three days has made it apparent

I can't answer the question but wish you luck and hope you get it sorted, I had the same problem on my bongo it was not the split charge relay but another relay powering the circuit up and holding the split charge relay on. I never did sort the problem but I had to check that everything that should go off did go off when switched off. It only stuck occasionally. When you switch the key off check that everything is off.

At a guess I would say the relay is in the Reich unit. If both batteries are exactly the same voltage it could be the relay contacts are burnt & carboned up with the relay stuck on.
I would disconnect the leisure battery and charge the Leisure & starter batteries up independently and see how each one holds it's charge.

Hey mitzimad, chances are it's inside the eBox, probably this Zettler relay in my pic, identified from tracing the circuit board. This is from my old unit that burnt out the fridge 12 volt contacts and was replaced under warranty, only for the replacement to fail exactly the same a couple of years later. I got Apuljak to repair it for me, cost just over £300 I think.

ive tested at the unit both live terminals from both batteries are showing continuity with the engine of so im certain the relay has welded its contacts together so im thinking of adding another relay into the circuit i can possible pick up an engine run signal from the fridge unbless
jockaneezer i don't suppose you know which wire incoming is the engine run signal d+ on the e box?

Have the same problem with mine, only just started this afternoon so put on hookup and am just getting a clicking from E box and not charging sounded like a relay. Will have to charge all batteries separately tomorrow and move van because the locker with the Knox in is up against a fence so I can check if any loose connections. Who is best to repair if needed and maybe cost.
