Can anyone recommend a really good site or aire north of The Dordogne for a spectacular Bastille celebration ? Thanks BUSBY.

We stopped at Honfleur a couple of years ago and it was really good. Just get there early wherever you go cos they all fill up early.

We can recommend Camping L'Ile Auger at Chinon. The fireworks display there is stunning - with Chateau Chinon and the River Vienne as backdrops. All choreographed to music. Campsite is decent and pretty reasonable - less than 15 Euros with leccy even in July.
