for anyone thinking of visiting barcellona and taking a bicycle.....
in Barcelona a new law passed recently that says that bikers can be fined for listening to music while riding, for biking on right lanes (which is the bus/taxi one, so they're supposed to bike in between cars and cars/buses). also your bike can be removed by force when locked to poles or street lamps that are not the 'official' ones.
city government recently stated with pompous declarations that bikes should be officially considered a mean of transport (?!)... what was it before then??
btw, i have to say that the very same city government started recently a new bike rent/sharing service, launched initially at a ridicolously low price (and thus amazingly successful, while prices now are higher).
