Bailey Alliance 76-4
I have had my Motorhome for a couple of months now , and loving the places we have been to , enjoyed everyone with no complaints , i am on a steady learning curve in every aspect of the vehicle , made a few mistakes , but the on the whole a life changer for me and my good wife , i have noticed just in the last couple of ventures a rattle above my head in the drivers seat , whist driving i have pushed and pulled the internal fitting,s to try and establish the cause of the noise , but to no effect , has anybody had the same issue and if so , what was the fix ? ,

Thank you

Paul

Welcome and good to hear you are enjoying

Rattles go with the territory, but many will be along soon to say its because it’s a British van.
Not me , I have an Elddis

They all rattle to some extent, just make sure everything is jammed in tight
Tea Towels become your friend👍

The facetious response is “turn the radio up” 😂😂

Do you have a tracker fitted?

It may have "moved"!

This space is often used to "store" the tracker, just pushed into the void!

I would investigate this further if you do have a tracker or similar!

On all three of my motorhomes the concertina blinds were my main cause of rattles in the cab area!

What? You only have one rattle?:giggle:
I hate rattles in a car but with the motorhome I have (almost) learnt to live with them.
It is like fighting a loosing battle. Get one fixed and another one appears!

If you can, try detaching the soft 'Alliance' trim above your head, adhesive pad backed wire clips may have come away within the narrow void leaving a cable to rattle around.

Thank you for your replys fellow MOHO,s , having worked in the car industry for 35 years , i sort of expected a little rattle and noise from the bailey , but this was right in my ear to the right , next time i am out i will try and resolve the issue , and post back here as to what i have found , no tracker fitted as far as i was told , have looked at the soft trim with the Alliance logo on , and noticed it looks like a velco fix to the van , did try and pull and push this part of the cab , but may need for a deeper dive into that area ,

Thank you for your ideas and help

Paul

When the rattles are sorted you will start to notice the creaks and groans!
Someday you think you need headphones and intercom :giggler:

Check the plastic trim that holds the sliding curtain for the driver’s door. They rattle on the driver’s door, my fix was a paper wedge to make a 1mm gap between the door and the plastic trim and then a few strategic blobs of clear “sticks like sh!t” between the two. Left it for 24 hours then removed the paper wedge, job jobbed!

Cheers & welcome!
