Hi, i have just seen the news showing deep hail and flooding in the Gare and Marseille area, it looked pretty bad, I hope nobody here was caught up in it.

We are in Herault and were supposed to have heavy storms tues/wed but all we got was a light show and about 8mm of rain but luckily over a few hours, yet 20k along the valley they had it much heavier.

It’s nothing new.

I’ve witnessed it for 45 years. Even had two of my cars tin bashed by grêle géante
Yes we do get hail, but I have not witnessed the extremity of the weather we have had in the last few months in the 16 years that we have lived here, and our french friends are talking about decades if ever. It is not just the extremity of a storm, it is also that the ground is so baked hard from the weeks of 35°C + temperatures, that all it can do is flow everywhere in torrents,
