Since my slight mishap last year I have been effectively without a motorhome.

I still live in my beloved Hymer 660S on QMJ but cannot take it on the road. (Over 70).

However, I have just had my offer for a Fiat Bustner accepted by the restaurant owning motorhome dealer and, all being well, I should be back on the road tomorrow.

Needless to say it is an extremely old, much used and quite affordable van.

This has been made possible by the help and kindness of a terrific Funster.

Here's wishing you the very best of health to enjoy your new motorhome. :drinks:

Is the new one for travelling whilst still keeping the villa for living in generally or is it going?

Initially that is the plan until I can find someone to properly "valet" and clean the beloved Hymer, when I might have to sell it...

If I sell my apartment (unlikely at this time) then I will keep the Hymer.

Are Burstner Owners posher than Hymer owners? :whistle2:

JJ
I doubt it JJ but you won’t be able to mock us cassette owners now you no longer have your three month on board tank :p. Really glad that you’re no longer restricted to barracks and we may meet you by the dam again as we haven’t yet been invited to the inner sanctum of QMJ. But then we are still distancing up our mountain in the South of France. Unfortunately massively into DIY building a new bathroom. (Oh how I envie those people getting bored during lockdown!)
The new bus looks nice, looks like a Toad to the Hymer in the picture. (As it should be ;))
Stay safe and enjoy your new found freedom.

...but, but, but... she has got a turbo AND power steering... grrrrrrrrr.

JJ
YES, but you are a big beefy bloke, you don’t need power steering. Turbo perhaps to get up to the penthouse at the dam!

I hope you have lots of good times in her!:giggle::giggle:(y)
