Awning woes

Purchased a new awning May and worked well for the first few stops. Last week it started leaking, not the awning itself but behind the fiamma wind out near the led strip? So I ventured on top and diagnosed the rain guard had perished with several lumps and bumps. Ordered a new one, fitted it and today’s rain it’s leaking again only in the one and same spot over the door- any thought as to why ? Tia

We have one of the covers over the back of our awning which I think only stops leaves etc collecting I don’t think it will be sealed

If the leak has only started with the new awning it will be that that is leaking . Are you using a figure of 8 connecting strip, if you are I think that will be the issue

Weirdly it didn’t leak for first few uses… so thought it was the rain guard had perished. I’ve reproofed the awning this afternoon but the water seemed to be getting in via the Fiamma wind out awning but can’t quite work out how now the new rain guard had been fitted- the leak had to be just over the entrance as well
