Avtex Tourer 2 completely wrong location .

Had an interesting journey today .
Avtex Tourer 2 taking me to completely the wrong location. As soon as we turned into the last road I could see we had a problem. I used google maps with the Avtex continuing to attempt to send is the wrong way even when we arrived at the site . This wasn’t an official camc site so I suppose that’s the problem . I was also an idiot for not checking the address before we left . Should have looked on Google earth as it’s a obviously the wrong place . Feel like an idiot now . Won’t make the same mistake again .

It was a stupid thing to do . I only needed to check the address and I would have seen it was completely wrong . It’s put me on a bit of a downer because I shouldn’t be making mistakes like this .

It was a residential area and obviously not a through route for a motorhome or caravan but I kept going to the point of nearly having to reverse a fair bit of road . Luckily there was a driveway available and I got permission from the house owner to turn around . Annoyed with myself for continuing to follow a sat nav with the blind belief must be correct because it was expensive. Silly behaviour.

I got one 8 months ago, it’s been in a locker for nearly 8 months, massive redirects, hate the bloody thing (yep I did set it up properly, or so I thought), just use your phone

If it is any help, I relied on a satnav when touring Italy in a hire car some 5 years ago....

We left Genoa for Verona via Lake Garda.... plugged it in and used the prompt from the satnav for Garda. Off we set and had a stunning drive up, down, across and through mountains (lots of tunnels)...to Garda in Lombardy...a small hamlet.... Only 100miles away from Southern Lake Garda.... added 3 hours to the journey...
