Autotrail Imala 615 - Only 5 months old 150 miles (1 Viewer)

Trying to help a couple from my Autotrail facebook group who have had sudden health issues.

Bought New in March 2018, dealer has no interest to buy back so the AT community are trying to assist with a sale instead of the couple getting bogged down with ebay etc.

The Imala 615 is a 2 berth van with end kitchen rated at 3500kg.

She and her husband purchased it new from Richard Baldwin (Halifax) in March this year, taking delivery in April.

Anne's husband soon after had a stroke and has now developed cataracts and will not be able to drive again. Ann is disabled and can't drive. The van is in York.

The van was over £50k new and also had a tracker, alarm and awning fitted.

It has only done 143 miles! The toilet, shower, cooker and heating have not been used. It is effectively a brand new van.

The dealer won't return a sensible price so I'm asking you all to look out for a buyer for them to help them out of this terrible dilemma.

They are asking a minimum of £40k for the van (please don't take advantage and offer less). That was an expensive 143 miles. "

You say Baldwin won't offer 40k at all? What an arse! Hope it sells for them Tonka..Im sure someone will go for it at that price. All the best ..

Typical of Baldwins, don't know their arse from their elbow and a bunch of liars in the bargain.

That is from a personal experience, good luck to the couple selling it.

Thieving bunch of b@$t@rd$ - I hate dealers!!

We bought a new fully kitted Imala 620 Hi-Line and after putting 350 miles on the clock, and just 2-months old, we went back to our supplying dealer who offered £36,000 as a PX against a £80k AT van or £33,000 cash if we just wanted to hand it back.

I don't mind people making a profit but having your eyes wripped out is a very different matter.

Shame, nice Van. I had one from new in 2015 to trade in 2018- got £40,007 (Cost just under £45K new with auto and 150BHP upgrade) so a "new" van should command that at least, surely! I Hope they get it sold. I have some advice for the buyer once sold if they want to hear it.
