Can anyone help please, we have a 2000 "W" reg Autotrail Chieftain on Ducato 2.8diesel, has anyone had an autoclutch fitted to one of these, and do they work,
Sue wants to help with the driving since my spell in hospital, and she can only drive an auto, as she has left leg problems.
Any help with this system would be appreciated,
Thanks
Joe

I wouldn’t think that would make it automatic
yes but it takes away the need to depress the clutch pedal, which is what we need, or i means changing the van, which is money we would rather not spend

A VERY expensive exersize if it is possible (which I doubt)
If you mean the comfortmatic you would need all the mechanicals changing plus all the electronics to go with it.
Cheaper to sell and buy one with the robotic gearbox.

I'm sure there used to be firms that did modifications like this with hydraulic clutch actuation especially for disabled people. Try someone who converts vehicles like ADAPTACAR

There is a system called Autoclutch, which actuates the clutch electronically by a button on the gear knob, and you still change gear normally, the clutch pedal remains in place and useable,
I am just looking for comments from someone who may have had one fitted,
Thanks
Joe
