Hi, looking to attach a 360 Ultrabox to the back of our Benimar MH. I bought the Fiamma wall fitting kit (comprising a couple of ‘L’ shaped bars and a variety of nuts and bolts) thinking this would be a direct fit to the horizontal bars located on the rear of our van. Unfortunately the holes in the kit bars do not line up with those on the back of the van.

I am now wondering if I have bought the right fittings. I see lots of people attaching the boxes to cycle racks, but I don’t need a rack as we carry our bikes in the van garage. Is there a simpler alternative to a bike rack?

Very little info when searching here, Google, YouTube etc.

Thanks

I have always seen them on racks. I thought that they were designed to go on the Fiamma racks. But i could be wrong

The bars on the back of the van are most likely for a bike rack. Not a box.
Most put the box onto the bike rack not on the back wall.

as said the box usually comes with the 'U' bolts to fit to the bike rack so it is supported underneath .

Thanks everyone for your help, it does appear I have not bought the correct kit and am returning it for a refund.

Go for the bigger 500 box if you can. You get a lot more usable space that way. My 500 is on the bike rack. 👍🥃
Its a fair point, but in my case I only intend carrying an inflatable kayak in the box and the 360 would do the job perfectly.

Same for me, changed from a 360 , more or less same stuff in it but easier to load.
