At Last, Good News on our New Van (1 Viewer)

So, after what has seemed like an age in comming. Have just received an email to say that our new van has arrived and going into build, so just in time for Father Christmas to deliver it
An Oslo S2 from Consort.
To say we are now exited is a understatement
Roll on 2023, we intend to get away as much as possible to make up for this last few months being without a van. We managed to sell ours earlier in the year, so it has seemed an eternity

looks like there are three of us on here waiting for our Consorts. We received our registration certificate today and note it is registered as a panel van . Do you know if this has to be changed when the conversation is completed.
Have either of you been given a date for collection yet?
The anticipation is mounting!

Great news. Sold our van this time last year expecting the replacement in March 2022 but now hoping for March 2023 so looking forward to te day we get our call. Enjoy!

I also read that poptops we’re having difficulties because of headroom issues but Vantage have just launched two new models so that must have been resolved too.
DVLA we’re making the converters jump through hoops about window placement and numbers. Having to have an awning, style of graphics etc.
Hopefully the person responsible got a good kicking was spoken too

Yes received ours today also and is registered as a van. Scott told me it's of no importance to change to a motorhome and up to me if I want to do so. Also on our V5 on the left hand column at D2 it's got the type as 250 where I would of thought it should of been 290. Emailed Scott who got in touch with fiat to be told that's what fiat put inis yours the same?

I assumed it was the model type ie 250 is for the old model up to 2014 and 290 which is our vans are the current model but obviously not that. We pick Ours up 29th November l know we've lost a months tax but couldn't wait any longer as need to have a few weeks away before Christmas as we're off to spain in January.

When Scott Naylor owned Vantage and we were looking at them he said to me don’t buy anything off these joke companies who can’t get their finished offerings registered as motorhomes.

I have just posted on this subject DVLA have admitted previous cock ups so Van should be re registered as Motor Caravan if Consort apply at the end of the build.

How times change. It's not a big deal will not effect the insurance had the same when we had a van converted by nu venture but will get it changed when we get back from Spain it's easy to do just follow the DVLA instructions.

Easier said than done, it’s the DVLA staff misinterpreting the regs that’s been the issue not applicants filling in the forms and supplying the photos,

We will see, I won't be doing it till next march when we get back hopefully they would have got their act together by then..
