I have a short USB cable in the van that, at the 'other' end has four connectors branching off the main cable.

The four connectors are, in no particular order,
A 'Micro' Commonly found in non ipad phones for charging, transferring data etc.
A 'Maxi' Older connector to Mini commonly found as connector to Sat Navs
A 'Pin' Connector. Commonly found on older type basic phones
A Flat Connector probably used to connect to either an ipad or similar.

I use this USB as it is very useful to connect both the Dash Cam and the Sat Nav at the same time.

I would like to purchase another but I am somewhat lost for how to describe it.

Anybody out there got a suggestion.

Similar in principle to this, (only with four different connectors)

Sure I have seen those in the pound shop. And I have one somewhere:giggle:

Those look horrible.
Haven't you got enough USB ports to have a cable per device you need?

Why not keep the adaptor you already have and just buy a usb extension lead. Simple ?

We use one - they're brilliant as a neat "charge anything" station. Like most people we have loads of both common types of USB cable / chargers but those things really tidy things up.

USB cables aren't going to add noticeable weight to your MH load.
Have a cable per device.

Those multi USB cables sound horrible - but if your devices' Manufacturer say use any Chinese USB cable you want to then ymmv

For connecting a Dash Cam and the Sat Nav at the same time, can't you explore adding an additional USB port?

You could even change your MoHo for one with more usb ports or even.... just realised you didn't ask for opinions did ya:doh:

You may be right Jim, I can't remember where I got ours from.

Something like this?

Too many and not long enough. The one we have has a single cord that's about 450mm before it divides. But thanks for posting.

Thanks, but that isn't the (potential) problem. I can see the 'Micro' inner cable degrading slightly.

Trying to keep the USB ports as unoccupied as possible. However, thank you for your thoughts.

Thank you, but No. The two devices are approx 15mm apart. Why use two cables?

Any of these any good ?

Close but no cigar. The stumbling block seems to be the connector for the Sat Nav. It seems to be 'Old Tech' in terms of connection that you don't see any more. Very similar to a Micro connector but with a wider 'foot' underneath. Thank you for your contribution.

Hello again. I've discovered that the Sat Nav connector is called a 'Mini' connector.

Just found this.

It's exactly the right connections but the cable isn't long enough. (and there's two of them from the USB.

Better. At least you've the right number of cables for your intended application.
How much further do you need?
To the cable you found, add a USB extender cable that is approx the right length to work as needed.

Why use two cables?
Because there isn't a USB spec or standard for having multiple connectors hanging off one USB.

Can I thank all contributors to this thread.

It just goes to show that despite it seemingly being a simple question, just like the adaptors on flea bay, there's a multiplicity of possible answers.

Thanks once again.
