Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
This was the ferry from Brodick on Arran arriving in Ardrossan during storm Dennis, awesome.

It reminds me of getting stuck outside Ardrossan Harbour on the ferry in the 80s, we couldn't get into harbour & couldn't go back as the storm had swung round, Brodick was as bad as Ardrossan, so we sat outside the harbour for about 8hrs which my brother in law & myself spent in the bar!
I think I enjoyed it!!!!

Are all those cars actually queueing to get on to the ferry...........................hats off to them too

Knowing how weather dependant the Brodick ferry seems to be I am very surprised it was sailing at all, it often gets cancelled even in a moderate breeze.

I shall never complain about Brittany Ferries again.

I bet all the cars on the decks were "HUDDLED "! up for warmth...

a few cars on there with a few dings i bet!!

been on the old "Sir Gallahad" from the Bardufoss ( 250 miles inside arctic cicle ) to Southampton in a severe gale could not stand up had to be seat belted into your seat or bed!!

all the vehicles were interlocked when we came to unload in Southampton...... not a happy experience.

pulled rank after that and flew :blush:

Just needs a bit of ballast; it’ll be alright once they get the cars on board! ?
