How well any battery lasts is down to how they are used. These should be fine as long as not overdischarged and kept as near fully charged as you can most of the time.

I hope it will last forever at that money :(

This is why I’m asking as I want to add another battery & been told the batteries should be the same

As above - That is an expensive battery.
I would hope to get 5 years out of my 130Ah lead acid battery I buy for just over a £100 ---- although I do know how to look after them.

Do you know the age and condition of your existing one?
Wait until this one is gone and buy a pair different ones?

Looking at it again it doesn't look like a motor battery or leisure, as Stealaway says above I would just use it as long as it works then get two new ones for similar price.

I’ve only been out in this van a couple of times, the battery seems ok, I will try to find a date stamp later today , as usual the battery is no easy to get too without being a contortionist

It really depends how you use your van and what you have to charge up your battery
Eg.
Do you use campsites with hook ups as a preference ?
Do you go off grid for more than just a few nights?
How much solar do you have.?

Batteries should be the same chemistry....lead acid/gel/AGM/lithium.....and ideally the same age but make and capacity are not important for our purpose.
The charger only sees one big battery no matter how many are linked.

This is a new to us van it only has a 40 watt solar just now.
I will be adding solar panels soon.
We try to stay off grid but use sites occasionally.

Looks good to me good brand and no CCA rating so not a starter battery.
It's probably only 90ah as the rating is given at the C10 rating.

So I could I just put a any lead acid battery of the same size in?

I certainly wouldn't buy another one of them, ok they might be fine but why spend twice as much as you need to for something that isn't right.
I would say it's out of someone's home alarm, maybe had a new system or something or just picked up at a car boot or something, but no point in following it up with a similar one at huge expense.

But as always it's ultimately what you choose, we can only say what we would do.

I think it's the other way round. If it's 100Ah at C10 then at C20 it will be more, probably 110Ah to 120Ah.

Always better to use the same, but they should also be equal in power when charging, or one will always be under charged or over charged, that way you could ruin one battery (life of one will be shorter than the other) I would wait until the one you have is not fit for the job anymore, then get two new, than charge each one until the same power rating, then fit.

It's 104ah @C20.

It is also a good battery brand.

And it is also an expensive battery for what it delivers and I would not buy that.
