Hi all, I'm collecting my first Motorhome in September after spending over 2 years looking. I will be using it in the UK over the winter and until this virus thingy is less of a risk, but I'm looking for advice on which are the best apps to actually pay for - I've seen Park4night, searchforsites, Campercontact, Camperstop, Campy, Caramaps and others, I would imagine thay overlap to a large extent so those who travel around Europe - which do you pay for ?
Also, there is the Caravan and Motorhome Club, and the Camping and Caravan Club - which should I join, if any ?
Thanks in advance for wisdom..

Greetings peeps welcome from West Kent

Both clubs
All the free ones then open them up search for same site on each and see which you prefer. Having said that always ask on here for recommendations. You can’t get better than fist hand knowledge

Welcome. If you intend to stay in the UK, especially in the Winter time, look at BritStops. They have a web site and a book and Steve BritStops is a member of Motorhome Fun too.

Don't join the clubs unless you're going to use them. We now use the temporary holiday sites on the camping and caravanning club, which are good value. But we weren't members for years when we sold the caravan.

When abroad we use Campercontact most then and park4nights. I am also going to try out the searchforsites app once we get back on the road.

We are members of CCC. Their informal temporary holiday sites (THS) in the UK are very useful and cheap and rarely get full.

usually would agree but a lot of the THS at the moment are full and operating waitlists, we were at Wells-Next-The-Sea last weekend at the THS and now full through the end of the months.

Leeds DA have a number also full at the moment.

Happy to confirm that Zigisla and Boris7 are absolutely correct. 😉
