I have this option but have never used it.
Does anyone use it and, if so, what for?

When you connect it to an IPhone it will allow you to play Spotify music and use Apple Maps as a satnav. It also plays any text messages you receive

It’s like having your iPhone music on your radio

The only reason I think I might use it would be for (better) navigation.
If I was to use a SatNav app:
Could I add my own POI?
Could I add speed camera warning?
Are the instructions clear/unambiguous?
Are the additional data rates significant?
