Hi all we've seen alot of camper's in france using the above and any recomendations as at the moment we use a gas stove and a george forman,it would be nice to put a whole fish on or several things on at same time, cheers matt

I just use a £45 portable BBQ from Asda. Everyone else use quality expensive stuff like Cadacs and Webers!

i want electric as i have gas hob,Just wanted a hot plate/skilett/grill jobby for when we are on ehu so im not wasting my gas:giggle:

I have a double induction hob that fits nicely over the gas burner space. Brilliant bit of kit when I don’t cook outside

Normally cheaper to use gas than pay for EHU also gas cooks better.

Just bought a Foker 2.5kw gas ring. Smaller, lighter and more powerful than the now discarded Cadac Safari Chef. Use the ordinary pans from the kitchen, so easier to clean that the Cadac. So far, so good.

Nope had a Cadac Global (the OLD ginourmous one) for over 20 years it has everything except the Paella pan and we need a new pizza stone but when you can cook 2 FULL and I do mean FULL English breakfasts on it

I just want the flat griddle electric type we are mainly on ehu when away and if not i have gas but its a 2 ring burner and cooking whole whole fish on a frying pan is a nightmere,we normaly use a george forman but its to small for 5 of us,just a different way of cooking,

We have an electric griddle that we bought in Spain and adapted.
We also have an induction hob with one ring, bought from Ikea.

We use a cheap double burner gas hob plugged into the external gas supply if nice weather. If on EHU we sometimes use a portable single ring induction hob plugged into externak 240v socket, that works better if windy as no flame to blow out. May get a double ring induction hob. Often use a double ring grill plate for frying as it keeps the smell out of the van. My wife prefers to be outside enjoying life rather thsn stuck lonely in the vAn. Me?, I am a nice guy really, just a better mechanic than cook.

I have one.I won it in a raffle and use it when on hook up. Work's well.thermostat can be a bit hit and miss until you get used to how it works.

We have an electric griddle which we use on rare occasions outside if its too hot to cook inside. Ehu needed.
From experience cooking uses negligible gas, its fridge and heating that uses it.

When on EHU I have a single electric hotplate that I use. Cheap as chips but takes a while to heat up. It’s also very handy for a bit of outside cooking/dining especially if you want to keep something warm like fajita’s.

YES. ELECTRIC hot plate. Use one all the time. Used to take it on our rentals. Used last week. It's very light so your back axle wont collapse whilst carrying it.??
Great for your bacon n eggs, chops, steaks in fact any meat. Indoor or outdoor use.
Won in tombola, priceless.
Will get the name when i go to the van later (in storage)
Coppers to run so pointless trying to calculate against gas (that you don't want anyway)

😂 Thankyou David. Not cheap are they. I need to check if my pans would work with it, don't want to be forking out for those as well!
I only bought the double because it was an Amazon Black Friday deal, or it would have been the single. The performance is amazing- just need to remember that the are touch sensible switches, not
pressure sensitive. Many reviews say the switches don’t work but it is because they aren’t using them properly. A gentle touch is needed.

if a magnet sticks to the pan then it will work. I now only use gas cooking in the van when not on EHU
