I've noticed that a couple of brands, Vango and outdoor revolutions do a single and double 800w Induction hob.
We got a standard higher wattage single one and think it's great.
Does anyone have an 800w one and what are your thoughts?

We've got the Vango double 800w induction hob. Works great and has a 2m lead so we can put it on a table outside if need be.
We got some silicone induction hob protection covers and cut them down to fit the hob cooking areas. Stops pots and pans sliding around if the hob isn't perfectly level.

We have the Vango double which is 800w per hob. I was going to buy the single but someone was selling an as new double for £50 so it was a no brainer. Works well, but doesnt bring things up to heat as quick as our gas hobs. I can only really use one hob at a time if off grid as our inverter wouldnt cope with the full load of two. Works well with the two hobs if plugged into EHU.
We already had induction stacking pans so didnt need to change them. Had to buy a plate for the Bialetti coffee pot though.
The 2m lead is handy for cooking outside.

So not as fast as gas, that's what I wanted to know. As my Tefal one is faster than gas.

How big a gas ring? How many Watts induction hob? What electrical supply available?
How can anyone give an answer - we use a single Vango Sizzle 800W hob, it does everything we expected it to!

We bought an Aldi single ring one which does 10 stages. Max 2000 kw. It starts at 100 w and doesn’t trip the 2kW inverter in our van

We used an 800w single one on top of the cooker at home. No idea of make.
More convenient than using the hob for a single pan
It fell to bits, plastic parts cracked and warped and became unsafe.
Would have a modern one if we decide to get another.

Was that question to me?

Dometic hob 1.8 kw
Hob 800w as per my post. Thats why the gas burner on my van is quicker than the induction hob. If we used a larger capacity induction hob it would probably bd as quick or quicker. However the OP asked about 800w hobs.
Our inverter is 1500w pure sine wave and we also use EHU.

We have the indoor revolution double hob and its good. It cooks quicker than our gas hob. Wind doesn't have any affect on it (we have PVC so hob is by the side load door. Only downside is its fairly large. We use it off a 2000w inverter and is probably the biggest hit to our batteries.
