Have owned my moho for 2.5 years now
I know this stirs up some debate. I only want to know some more information about the above genie. Things like whats it like to use how reliable etc etc.

It is only to be used on rare occasions when off grid like at Cadwell park or other motorsport sites that dont have ehu

I have found Clarke products to be good quality overall (I assume Clarke is owned by MachineMart? Like Saisho used to be owned by Dixons?)
Haven't used their generators and noted when looking previously that what they label "Quiet" simply are not :)

Not sure about ownership just got the link as they had them in stock. I had heard the term queit is relative

If it’s only for tyre warmers and a kettle, look for a smaller one. The 22kw will run a entire paddock. You will be ok with a 2kw. Inverter is good as it will slow down when no demand.

I had the 1Kw version of it and it was great.

However, I would strongly recommend looking at a gas powered generator if you are going to be using it infrequently.
Petrol goes off in the tank and carb and gunks it up (Don't ask me how I know :( )
LPG powered generators don't have this problem. And you can run it from a BBQ point.
No petrol smells in locker or van either.

I think you mean the 2.2kw generator

I have a Honda 2.00i inverter, little used generator for less than half price of a new one (quiet 52 dB) for sale. I'm down near Colchester or I could bring it to the Bring & Buy in May if you wanted to try it? (£500 ono)

It's a 2.2kw, not 22kw.
If it was that big it would hardly be portable.

The low dB rate is usually ¼ throttle at 7mtrs.
Crank up the power and they all (honda included) sound like jack hammers.
The sound level should be stated at full load, not ¼ load

Meausing sound at 7 meters is a bit of a joke as well, sound is normally measured at 1 meter

They are a Chinese brand labeled for Clark
Aldi has had the same in the past with Wolf label and I have one labeled NePower
I have had if for years and as Gromett states only issue I have had is with carb needing a clean due to old fuel
Leaving fuel in them long term is a no no but that's not a particular issue with this genny it is all small engine stuff that can sit for months without use
For what you pay they are fine but they are not a Honda

My Honda may not be Quiet, Quiet but perfectly acceptable at the end of a EHU cable and no-one would describe it ever,
as sounding like a jack-hammer but it is serviced regular (just done) with the correct oil etc.

I'll take it to the Bring & Buy (IF it hasn't gone before) and people can judge for themselves?
