Hello amazing funsters.

I'm hoping someone can help me locate the part below for our c200 toilet cassette. It's broken in half so now does not close properly - and my husband promised to do the unpleasant job of swapping it over for a new one if I could find one:sick:. So far I haven't had any luck. Any help would be gratefully appreciated :giggle:(y)

Thanks emjaiuk - That's the website where I took the image from - unfortunatley they say the part is discontinued :(

Thanks - it might be the only answer - and I'm sure my hubby will be happy, it just seems a shame to be throwing away a perfectly good cassette for the sake of a small plastic part.

Have you asked Thetford directly as they may know it is a common part across several models? Easier to track one down on fleabay?

That's a good idea, however Thetford don't make it easy to speak to them directly and just forward you to service centres.

Interestingly I found plans online to print the part on a 3D printer..... More rabbit holes for the hubby to go down.......

I’ve got a unused cassette. It’s for a C223 but I think whole C200 range is same. Bought last September but only opened box last month and found the blade mechanism upper and lower parts separated and couldn’t see how to repair. I asked if it could be repaired but Thetford sent me a completely new cassette under warranty but didn’t want old one back. If you think it might be of use pm me

Have you tried CAK tanks? they have lots of spares etc

There's a funster that 3D prints all sorts, if you have the plans he'll almost certainly be able to oblige.
There was a thread running about funnels recently he was printing for various vans.

That looks like the blade has come away from the arm, if so undo the screws and remove the seal so you have a larger opening, the blade just sits in a groove in the blade arm so try and hold the blade up then push the arm down and across and it should work again, I had to do that on my spare cassette, give everything a spray with thetford seal spray when reassembling. When removing the screws don't forget the ones under the lips that hold the slide in place, the lips prise off with a flat blade screw driver to give access to the screws.

Thanks for your help everyone - Really awesome people!

I've managed to use up my 5 free posts - so will have to join the fun and become a full member after payday this month.

In the meantime - your spare cassette might be the answer jezport - could you send me a text/ whattsapp and we can discuss - I can't PM as not a full subscriber yet. My number is 0 7 9 3 1 6 3 3 2 1 4 .

Thanks all

Laura
