Does Antifreeze have a shelf life..?

I have a gallon of unopened which I bought many years ago...

Could be up to 10 years old...

Just wondering if it will be OK to use in my digger, as it does not look like there is any in it...

Thanks in constipation.. (y)

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Give it a shake to mix it through again & it should be fine, it'll have settled out into anticorrosion elements etc, so a good shake will do it the world of good.

It' not the shelf life I'd be worrying about mo...
Just make sure it' the right type if your digger manufacturer specifies a particular type...
Some types just shouldn' be mixed.... so a thorough flush if there is any chance of antifreeze already in the system...
Like most things these days... nothing straight forward any more..

Andy..

If its the ready mixed pink stuff Very @old-mo fella type person, then it will fit my beautiful :inlove: Winnebago :inlove:, so err on the side of caution, do not use it, and keep it for me, till you have finished that hardstanding and we come a visiting, not that I actually need it as I have ever had to top it up. But then hey it's an 8.1L Chevy Vortec engine and you know how truly wonderful they are. :)

There are only two types - pink and blue. The one you must use depends on the mix of metals used in the engine.
