I've had email from a parcel courier asking me to pay an invoice before they will deliver a parcel. Since I am not expecting anything they can go and procreate elsewhere.
You have 2 choices, both require you to not open the attachment, it contains a virus for sure.
1: Delete the email and block the sender, and then forget about it.
2: Open a fake hotmail account and spend the next 2 months wasting their time, maybe arranging meetings in obscure and out of the way places in rural England, which you of course will never show up for.
And .doc or .docx, these can harbour nasty VB scripts.
In fact, any attachment from someone you weren't expecting. Real organisations rarely send attachments, and when they do, they will be expected, and probably in the form of a pdf.
