After the last 'lucky breakdown' - sudden loss of coolant near home in my old Jag a few weeks ago I've just had another.

Took it for its MOT today - a brake pipe burst on the rolling road !!

I'm buying a lotto ticket tomorrow....

Its very common for brake pipes to go on test , especially on horseboxes , quite often its the only time any hard braking is done !

I assume a rubber one not a metal pipe ?

Not sure, think it was metal - lose your brakes on that car and all you have left is the electric handbrake:pray2:

I asked the garage how they got it back from the MOT station - answer - "very carefully !"

Expensive MOT - 2 new rear shocks, rear discs and pads.............but "she's worth it".....(y)

And Mr @Silver-Fox ..........She's not going banger racing !!

yet;)

.back then :(

Stainless steel braided pipes are recommended. They give a much firmer feel in the pedal..
