All the gear, and no idea!
Ok so prior to going away fridge on ehu at home, everything cold and frozen how it should be, now I’m away everything going warmer, tried turning it down, swapping from ehu to gas etc. It’s not warm here, it’s breezy, I’m level, any suggestions???

Have you got an awning covering the side of the van with the fridge vents?

Strange. Are you saying it doesn't work on EHU or gas, or it works on gas but not on EHU?
Did you test on gas before going away?

It worked on ehu and gas before I went away, now it’s not working so good on either🤔

If its a Thetford fridge they list in their fault chart, for poor cooling on all sources, to check if thermistor is fitted on the 5th fin from the right inside the cooling cabinet , could be worth a look to check it has not been knocked off its position.

Is it a Dometic 8505 I think that's what's in a Sonic.
Is it cooling poorly or stopped all together, if its stopped a common fault is the ignition control module a black box on the back or the fridge it controls the gas ignition and the 12v/240v switching. They are a potted unit and not repairable.
Or it could be a control circuit fault on the main pcb.

It’s a thetford Lenny HB as GeoffnDee says I’ve checked the thermistor and it was a little off the 5th fin, if it’s enough to make any difference we’ll see but I’ve repositioned it correctly (the fins are cold to touch) so we’ll see overnight! I’ve put it on gas to see if that makes any difference🤷‍♂️ I might have to take it somewhere to get the fins repaired on the back🤔🤔

If you can access the back of the fridge (through the lower exterior vent for example) you could feel the coolant pipes just above where the heaters are (usually the lower right corner. If the pipe is hot, at least you know the heater is working, whatever its power source. If the pipe is cold, then none of the heaters are working.

Update, re seated the thermistor on the 5th fin last night and put on gas overnight, seemed fine this morning👍 Now switched it back to 240 ehu and let’s see what happens🤷‍♂️
we did re distribute stuff in fridge and freezer box so it was more spaced out too, dunno if that’ll help any🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
thanks for your replies though as always👍

The thermistor being out of position is the only problem that is listed for all power sources that is not indicated with a flashing fault code to show a fault so hopefully it will be ok now.

I find it hard to believe moving the thermistor a few inches will make that much difference, I would keep a careful eye on it nothing worse than warm beer or no ice for the G&T.

Lenny HB it was less than half an inch, I just shoved it fully on the fin!!
update…. Everything good on ehu!!
so god knows what went wrong but I’m gonna get it serviced and some fans fitted👍

Do you have exterior winter covers fitted, if so, remove them. It"s something I've forgotten several times

We are just back from a few days away in the van. The fridge stopped working apart from the light. After reading through some of threads on here, we were hoping that the Issue was simply down to not being level (forgot to take the ramps). Right enough, back home and the fridge is working again On level ground.

Oddly for us we were level when it wasn’t working so good, when at home we’re on a slight incline, when we were at my sisters the day before it was working ok and that certainly wasn’t level😁
