Strange. Are you saying it doesn't work on EHU or gas, or it works on gas but not on EHU?..........tried turning it down, swapping from ehu to gas etc.
It worked on ehu and gas before I went away, now it’s not working so good on eitherStrange. Are you saying it doesn't work on EHU or gas, or it works on gas but not on EHU?
Did you test on gas before going away?
Yepfridge light on?
Pattiesif you'd fetched me them fishcakes i might have been able to help
If its a Thetford fridge they list in their fault chart, for poor cooling on all sources, to check if thermistor is fitted on the 5th fin from the right inside the cooling cabinet , could be worth a look to check it has not been knocked off its position.
It’s a thetford Lenny HB as GeoffnDee says I’ve checked the thermistor and it was a little off the 5th fin, if it’s enough to make any difference we’ll see but I’ve repositioned it correctly (the fins are cold to touch) so we’ll see overnight! I’ve put it on gas to see if that makes any differenceIs it a Dometic 8505 I think that's what's in a Sonic.
Is it cooling poorly or stopped all together, if its stopped a common fault is the ignition control module a black box on the back or the fridge it controls the gas ignition and the 12v/240v switching. They are a potted unit and not repairable.
Or it could be a control circuit fault on the main pcb.
Exciting this holiday business isn’t itUpdate, re seated the thermistor on the 5th fin last night and put on gas overnight, seemed fine this morningNow switched it back to 240 ehu and let’s see what happens
we did re distribute stuff in fridge and freezer box so it was more spaced out too, dunno if that’ll help any
thanks for your replies though as always![]()
I find it hard to believe moving the thermistor a few inches will make that much difference, I would keep a careful eye on it nothing worse than warm beer or no ice for the G&T.Update, re seated the thermistor on the 5th fin last night and put on gas overnight, seemed fine this morningNow switched it back to 240 ehu and let’s see what happens

Do you have exterior winter covers fitted, if so, remove them. It"s something I've forgotten several timesOk so prior to going away fridge on ehu at home, everything cold and frozen how it should be, now I’m away everything going warmer, tried turning it down, swapping from ehu to gas etc. It’s not warm here, it’s breezy, I’m level, any suggestions???
Oddly for us we were level when it wasn’t working so good, when at home we’re on a slight incline, when we were at my sisters the day before it was working ok and that certainly wasn’t levelWe are just back from a few days away in the van. The fridge stopped working apart from the light. After reading through some of threads on here, we were hoping that the Issue was simply down to not being level (forgot to take the ramps). Right enough, back home and the fridge is working again On level ground.
