Wow, Beni is so cheap. Here’s six people sharing a bottle of water in a restaurant. Hope it isn’t you :-). PS we spent €65 for a wee luncheon for two.

Sorry pic attached twice!

65€ for 2 for a meal !!!!! in Benidorm

that's steep unless you went to the Steak House
for lunch we use 100 Montaditos on the Spanish side look for the special offer days and enjoy tapas for 1€ each and you get lots of other offers can eat all afternoon without breaking the bank :dance2: :dance2: :dance2:

A spanish family of 10 will easily make a single Coka cola last them an hour while everyone has a rest, uses the toilets and the kids run about for a bit..
Makes sense to me .. (y):D

In about 40 minutes I'll be spending 2€ for a nice cold pint of Estrella on the site terrace bar with a bunch of friendly Funsters.:cool:
Cheers

Cheers Eddie, raining here and brrr cold. Lol.
Enjoy the beer.

€65 that was’nt for the meal, you have just bought the restaurant
I’m not complaining about the cost. We had a bottle of wine and brandy for lunch, and a little something to soak it up.

I’m just surprised a restaurant can be bothered with 6 FLTs :-)

I’m also amazed at the number of grossly overweight folk, many of them riding mobility scooters. I thought mobility scooters were a boon for giving mobility to infirm invalids. Seems they are now for folk who have eaten so much they cannot be bothered to walk any more.

Apologies for any offence caused, but it seems to be a reflection on current society in Benidorm. I’ve only seen similar in the US of A whose residents stopped walking when Mr Ford gave then all cars.

The disproportionate number of large folk in Beni, I think is directly linked to the availability of the scooters, because they are easily available for hire it makes Beni an attractive place especially for the holiday folk. The vast majority are on short term hire, and it is a very lucrative business.
Now and then they have a token clampdown stopping the youngsters using them when clearly they don't need them, however I think the current requirement is over 50 or a disability badge or certification.
Cheers

Mmm, maybe a business opportunity elsewhere.
