Alden satellite update (1 Viewer)

Hi all hope you can help.
I have an Alden SSC HD A module.

I contacted alden france who sent me a file to update my module.
However, my settings don’t have an update option ( photo of my settings manual attached) and so I’m not sure how I transfer file from usb to module?

any advice gratefully received

Were you not provided with any installation instructions with the software/firmware/transponder update?

I’ve never tried to deploy any updates to ours. The following picture is provided as an example only, taken from a ‘translate to English’ of the following German Alden site…

These are the instructions I was given when I had to update the transponder setting on my system. They worked a treat.

Please find attached a link to download the satellite settings file for your control box.

To update the SSC V5r satellites transponders:

• Copy and paste the downloaded « XXX.ssc » file (for the transponders settings) to the root of the USB stick.
• Switch on the SSC (the green light is on and the device is in stanby).
• Insert the USB stick in the SSC and select « import ».

Was your update for recent Astra 28 South and other satellite updates?

We’ve not fired up our Alden AS4 for ages, tried today from home where it’s always worked previously but couldn’t get Astra 28 South (North was still ok though).

Yes it Was for the Astra 28 south which we lost late last year.
