I am having problems with our Alde system only producing hot water if the heating is running at a stupid temperature.

As far as I know the hot water should work as long as the system is on and for hot water only you just set the room stat to below ambient temperature.

Before I go back to the dealer with a warranty claim am I missing something simple?

Check that the heating pump is set to thermo rather than continuous, then the water should heat without the heating on, what controller have you got? Modern one or the old sliders.

OK just check the pump settings, if the pump is on continuous it only gives hot water at the same temp as the radiators.

Thank you

Do you know where I would find that setting?

Just did a factory reset on the panel so that may have already sorted it.

Not without a manual and I am just on my phone at moment, it won’t be too far into the settings though, just into pump and then the option should be there, I am guessing though as ours is the user friendly sliders.

If it’s still not right post the model number or photo of your controller and I will be back at the laptop later.

Glad you are sorted (y) there does seem to be some confusion re the ALDE settings, on thermostat the boiler is hot and the pump cycles on/off to maintain the room temperature on continuous the thermostat controls the boiler temperature as the pump runs all the time so as the van warms up the radiators and the domestic hot water both cool down.
