Guy's does anybody know 'as a fact' if the above fuel station will be open on News Year day. I am planning to brim here on my way down and not 100% certain what the score is.
Thanks in advance,
Philip

Don’t understand why you would even risk it as it’s impossible for anyone to say if it will be open on that day.

Why ! We have members living in Spain and others who will be able to answer my question for sure. Not a problem if it is closed, I shall adapt and overcome. It's an adventure.

It says 24 hrs so I would think so .If not there are 6 others within 1,5kms by all accounts. Diesels cheap there at the moment 1,09€

Thats good, I’m pleased for you:xThumb:
I was just pointing out that it will not be a “fact” until it happens, now you have a backup plan, now where have I seen that recently

That's not quite right is it Mike. What you actually said and I quote ' it’s impossible for anyone to say if it will be open on that day' . I assume what you said and what you actually meant were two different things. Not to worry, it's all resolved now and I'm confident it will be open as Gus stated.

You could always stay on a campsite while you wait for the garage to open Phil

@PhilandMena got a better idea Phil, I’m sure you’ve still got the cans (full) so drink the beer in them and refill with fuel, should get you where you want to go till a garage opens me old garden ornament, Sorted! :xThumb:

Only if i can wear a Fur Lined Thong me old china and Eddie and Jim (The inseparables) tuck me in and read me bed time stories each night. I think Eddie would be brilliant at telling fantasy stuff. :dance2::dance2::dance2:

LOL If only the truth was known Jim. We often use camp sites but also wild a lot. There are plenty of stunning places to stop outside of a campsite. Hail Jim! or if your a sweaty sock. Jimbo. Ye ken.

I had to resort to these innovative tactics to sneak beer into the festival (which worked by the way) because Simon ran out of lager! Not like him is it! Oh yea! that's right! now i come to think of it. It was an old garden ornament who drank it all and had to dip into his own emergency supplies. That's what friends are for. Love you Simon.

I'm sure many of us do this. However, with the price of fuel as it is in France now, I plan to enter with a full tank and leave with an empty one. So, from Calais to Irun is for me about 1.1/4 tanks of fuel at around 1.30-140 Ltr. (might drop now as oil prices coming down) The fuel price at Alcampo, just over the Spanish boarder at Irun is 1.09. For me, that's worth planning for.

When I was 14 I won the NFSA Junior angler of the year for catching a 2lb 2oz Dab. The same trip, off Teignmouth with Ragworm my Dad caught a 4lb Dover Sole, which won Dad the NFSA Sea Angler of the year award

So by my logic, my Dad and I were the best NFSA anglers that year :reel:

Enjoyed that! Does that mean were life long buddies now and will take showers together. Poor Jim, his nose will be well and truly out of joint. Bet he calls me a toser after this post.:dance2::dance2::dance2:

Nah! I gave up fishing when I started diving and realised that there's no bloody fish left, and that Scallops and Lobster taste better anyway and are there to be picked up!

Which Jim do you mean?

As I do you, my furry thong wearing little pixie:xThumb: Simon ran out of lager? Now then, be careful or I’ll show the picture of you and the beer can in the little fur lined thong! It was a beer can wasn’t it?:xeek:

I too have a passipn for fishing. For the last twenty years making long trips to Carmarthen for salmon and sea trout fishing, mostly in tidal river sections and as you rightly say, thete is now no fish about. This was my last season here and I have ended my membership with a number of clubs. I have some good memories though.
