I'm sure loads of us have stopped there.

It's an aire on a motorways services.

Therefore a lot of people won't be comfortable stopping there.

I have many times without any problems

Motorway Aire.....try somewhere in a Village.

Know what you mean, not happy at stopping at service stations. Hubby ex lorry driver. Think I will try somewhere else, just want somewhere not far from Dover as docking early evening.

Could try Neufchâtel en bray, but thought it might be a bit far when getting off train at 7.30 pm

Montreuil-sur-Mer Is closer and a good first stop, free, water and waste 1 or 2€ for water and good facilities a 5min walk into town..

Cite Europe. Free and safe and 5 minutes from the tunnel.

if u choose cite de Europe, then don't make the mistake we made the first time we used it. Park down the bottom end of the car park (furthest away from the police station) as the upper part of the car park is used by the local people who work there, and they arrive from 5am onwards. Great for shopping, big carrfoures there and many other shops,

What is this like, has anyone stopped at it recently. Is it free, is it safe

In answer to the simple question, it's very nice , walks out over the countryside , viewing platforms , we stopped there recently, good shop and facility's , it is free , the last one is the hardest, loads on here say not , we havnt over nighted there as never had a reason too, but we have stopped at worse places, afraidyou would have to make your own judgement on that one.
