Off to France on our jolly’s next month, would French hook up on Campsites be able power something like the below. I believe they run at a lower power supply than we do on sites.
What air fryer do you guys use (if at all)?
We have barby etc already for outdoor cooking, it was more to do stuff for the kids like fish fingers etc

That one is 2470 watts so at 220v it will need a supply of over 11 amps, may when using one draw the power will be half, don't know without trying one.

French sites are often 5 or 6 amps sometimes 10amps.

I think it mostly depends on the watts that your air fryer requires. Our current air fryer is 6 litre capacity and runs at 1600 watts, which is fine on 16amp and 10amp EHU, but would probably trip a 6amp hook up.

Most French campsites seem to be either 10amp or 6amp, so we might look for a lower watt air fryer of about 1000 watts. But that seems to mean a smaller air fryer - the largest we can find at 1000 watts is only 2.6 litres capacity … might not be big enough for all our oven chips 😜

What works for us is powering the air fryer (and other stuff when the site supply is low) via the inverter and battery and then letting the site supply recharge the battery overnight etc.

I like how the victron multiplus works. You can tell it the maximum to take from the hookup, say, 5 amps. It will take the rest from the battery while anything over that is running then revert to recharging the batteries.

We used this one at several camp sites all over France, good enough for a few bits
Bargain at only £25 too, it's 1000w I believe

Like others above we have a small air fryer think it's 900 or 1000watts so would be ok on low ampage sites.
Small but adequate for our uses.
We currently run it off an 1100w inverter and leisure batteries, we also have a Daewoo QT microwave 600w cooking power and 1000w input that also runs off the same supplies.

Even in the UK it is not safe to assume you will get a 16A EHU. The last 6 sites we have visited with EHU have included 3 at 16A, 2 at 10A and 1 at 6A. One of the 16A sites was metered. Whenever I plug in I check the breaker to see if it is rated at 16, 10 or 6. Some sites have recently changed from 16A to 10A to reduce their costs because some users are plain greedy and wasteful.

Ours is 1460watts and was chosen as it works on 6amp which the majority of places we stay abroad are.

It’s been thoroughly tested and doesn’t trip the electric on 6amp.

You could always use a "Ridge Monkey" other brands available to cook fish fingers in, you are only reheating them anyway as they are pre cooked, you just need to keep a close eye on them when using the stove top.

Moved sites today, the score is now 3 at 16A, 3 at 10A and 1 at 6A. This means that from my recent experience getting less than a 16A supply is now more likely than getting it.

We’ve got the 3.8 litre Chefman from Amazon. I think it’s 1500w which will do with our inverter. However, we have used it on 6amp without any problems on its maiden European trip.
