I know there is a another thread running at the moment re A frames i didn't want to hijack.

I sent 3 enquiries to A frame suppliers/fitters to ask if an A frame could be fitted to a new Mini. Only one came back to advise they DO NOT fit to Minis. They didn't say they couldn't. So could anyone advise if it is possible to fit one to a new Mini.
Also we are thinking a automatic, can a auto be towed by A frame.
Thanks.

TAF Chesterfield have done some minis, this is part of the list on their web site.

I tow a VW Up but have avoided new cars because of warranty issues and automatics because of the complications. If you ask Mini I suspect they will say no. I would phone TAF.

Does the Mini handbook say anything about towing an automatic version?

Contacted them. They just replied YES they do but not if it has limited slip diff or 4x4. No mention of auto.

As no response on the above part of my querie after visiting Mini dealer yesterday i did further research to find a Mini Auto Cannot be flat towed with an A frame. So it's back to the drawing board.

Have a look at the newer Kia Picanto`s, Bob.... (y)

We had one of the older Picanto`s a few years ago, and it was a superb little run-around..

"A" framed it all over the place as well as on a trailer...

So much so we have just bought a 68 reg, modern one.... fantastic little car with all the whistles..

Full comfy 5 seater, alloy wheels, and all the other bit`s you would expect from an upmarket manufacturer...

The only downside is our`s did not come with Sat-Nav nor reversing camera...

Which we have now had fitted...

Most "A" frame fitters will a frame them.... We are booked in with Tow-Bars-2-tow-cars... to have one fitted which is our preferred "A" frame set up.... simple to hook up, lightweight... and no brake wotsit to fit.. all done by the fitters.. electronically...

Only had it just over a week... and well impressed with it.... was happy with the old 2006 model..

But the new ones have come on leaps and bounds..

And 7 year Kia warranty or 100,000 miles... (y)

We know Picantos very well. Had 4 on the company fleet for PRO, Salesmen. One of the ones we sold ages ago had 478,000 Ks on it, unbelievably reliable.
Long story re what i am looking for to tow.
